This is the swatch I knit using the continental cast-on (for the first time, yay!)
Slipping the first stitch as if to purl
Knitting the last stitch through the back loop
Retrieved stitches from a lifeline
Cast off by knitting two stitches, slipping them back onto the left needle (by putting the left needle through the front of the stitch--is this correct? when I did it through the back I inadvertently unknit the stitch~! ) and then knitting both stitches tbl.
I used US 7 needles and dk weight yarn to practice instead of lace weight
Comments:
The cast-on edge was tighter than the cast-off edge.
The cast-off edge looks rather wide on what I assume is the wrong side.
