Purplejen Swatch

This is the swatch I knit using the continental cast-on (for the first time, yay!)
Slipping the first stitch as if to purl
Knitting the last stitch through the back loop
Retrieved stitches from a lifeline
Cast off by knitting two stitches, slipping them back onto the left needle (by putting the left needle through the front of the stitch--is this correct? when I did it through the back I inadvertently unknit the stitch~! ) and then knitting both stitches tbl.
I used US 7 needles and dk weight yarn to practice instead of lace weight

Comments:
The cast-on edge was tighter than the cast-off edge.
The cast-off edge looks rather wide on what I assume is the wrong side.

Found you! your blog URL is suesknittingprojects.blogger.com

Swatch looks good. Try casting on over two slightly larger needles when you knit the SSS swatch later this week. I did this for test knitting the stole and it works really well with the pattern that follows which requires elasticity and even tension especially the first few rows.

Have you tried blocking it and pinning out to see how much it stretches in all directions?

Happy knitting
